My main focus when it comes to food is simply enjoying it. I don’t get caught up in details like calories, nutrition, or antioxidants. Instead, I value how food fits into my life and whether it allows me to continue doing what I love without interruption.
For me, eating is about pleasure and maintaining a sense of balance. I prefer to choose foods that don't disrupt my enjoyment or daily routines, rather than obsessing over specific health metrics. As Ellery Adams writes in The Secret, Book, & Scone Society, "That's my main priority when it comes to food. Other people are obsessed with calories, nutritional value, antioxidants. I look at food and wonder: Can I eat that without having to put my book down?"
