The only permanent thing is impermanence. This was what I came up understand right then, right there, with the sun on my cheeks and the champagne on my lips. The notion that you could actually know what you want for the rest of your life is illogical and unreasonable. The best you can do is figure out what you want for lunch.
The realization of life’s impermanence struck me profoundly in a moment filled with warmth and celebration. I understood that believing we can determine our lifelong desires is unrealistic. Instead, we should focus on the present and accept the transient nature of our desires and circumstances.
Life is unpredictable, and trying to commit to a singular path is futile. Ultimately, the most we can aim for is to make smaller, immediate choices that reflect our current needs and preferences, such as deciding what to have for lunch. This perspective encourages a lighter and more adaptable approach to life.
