"A Christmas Carol," written by Charles Dickens, tells the story of Ebenezer Scrooge, a miserly old man who places great value on money over happiness or human connection. On Christmas Eve, he is visited by the ghost of his former business partner, Jacob Marley, who warns him about the consequences of his greed. Marley reveals that Scrooge will be visited by three spirits that night, who will show him the past, present, and future, in hopes of sparking a change in his heart.
