"Catching Fire" is the second book in Suzanne Collins' dystopian trilogy, following the story of Katniss Everdeen. After winning the 74th Hunger Games, Katniss returns to her home in District 12, only to discover that her actions have sparked rebellion across the districts. The Capitol views her defiance as a threat, and President Snow visits her to warn her about the consequences of her rebellion and the need to maintain the illusion of power in Panem.
As the story progresses, Katniss and her fellow victor, Peeta Mellark, are forced into a victory tour, where they must appease the districts while hiding their growing feelings for each other. The tension escalates as the Capitol announces the Quell, a special Hunger Games that requires past winners to compete again, thrusting Katniss back into the arena and forcing her to confront new dangers and challenges.
