"Hollow City" is the second installment in Ransom Riggs' Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children series. In this novel, the adventures continue for Jacob Portman and his friends as they escape from the immediate threat of the Wights and the Hollowgasts. They embark on a journey to save Miss Peregrine, who has been kidnapped, and to protect the peculiar children from the dangers they face in a world where they no longer truly belong.
The story takes place during World War II, leading them to the dark and eerie backdrop of London where they must navigate through dangers while seeking sanctuary. Their quest reveals more about the peculiar world and its mysteries, and they encounter new characters, both friend and foe, deepening the lore of the series.
