Hoppy Harrington, known as phocomelus, had a routine of visiting Modern TV Sales & Service around eleven each morning. He would arrive in his wheelchair and, if Jim Fergesson was present, request to watch the TV repairmen at work downstairs. This was something he enjoyed greatly.
However, if Fergesson wasn't there, Hoppy would leave, understanding that the salesmen wouldn't allow him to go downstairs and instead would tease him. Although they ribbed him, Hoppy seemed to take it in stride, at least in the eyes of Stuart McConchie, who observed him closely.
