Some of the reasons people don't approach their parents is they're afraid of being judged. And also their parents don't share their own struggles with them, which I didn't do.
This quote highlights the barriers that prevent open communication between parents and children. Fear of judgment and a lack of mutual vulnerability can create emotional distances, making it difficult for individuals to seek support or share their true feelings. When parents refrain from sharing their own struggles, it inadvertently signals a lack of openness, reinforcing the cycle of silence. Building trust requires mutual understanding and willingness to be vulnerable, fostering stronger familial bonds. Creating an environment where everyone feels safe and accepted encourages honest conversations that can heal misunderstandings and deepen relationships.
