Love by definition is an unconditional gift, to be loved without a requirement for proof of true love. If a woman told me: I love you because you are smart, because you are fit, because you are giving me gifts, because you do not pursue women, because you wash the dishes .. Then I will be in disappointment, so this love - in fact - is a project of self -interest. How much more accurate to hear: I am crazy about you, even if you are not smart or decent, even if you are a liar, arrogant, or just a bastard!

Love is described as an unconditional gift that should not depend on any specific attributes or actions. The idea is that when someone expresses love based on conditions, such as intelligence or generosity, it transforms that love into a mere transaction of self-interest. Such conditional affection can leave individuals feeling disheartened, as it suggests that love is not genuine but rather a byproduct of certain favorable traits.

Instead, true love should resonate with a deeper appreciation, where one loves another despite their flaws or shortcomings. The ideal expression of love acknowledges that it exists independently of a person's qualities or behaviors, embracing them wholly and without reservations. This perspective emphasizes that unconditional love accepts a person for who they are, not just for what they can offer.
