A vid comes to you, even at you. It's visual, it's auditory, and can, of course, pull you in. Its purpose is to do just that, draw you into the world you see and hear. But a book? You go into it. There's no visual or auditory other than what forms in your own mind. You visualize the characters, the scene, through the words. You, as reader, interpret the tone of voice, the colors, the movement as you physically turn the pages.

A video captures your attention through sight and sound, immersing you in its world directly. Its primary goal is to engage you instantly, making you a passive viewer. In contrast, a book invites you to enter its narrative actively. Instead of relying on visuals or audio, the reader constructs images and sounds in their mind based on the text. This internal experience fosters a more personal connection to the story.

Reading becomes an interactive journey, as you visualize characters, settings, and emotions with every turn of the page. The tones and movements are interpreted uniquely by each reader, creating a singular experience that is both personal and imaginative. Unlike a video, where the scene is presented for you, a book encourages you to become the storyteller, forming your own version of the tale in your imagination.
