Resting comfortably in awareness, we relax into things as they are right now in this very moment, without slipping away into what happened in the past or will happen in the future. Normally, because we do not understand, we tend to blame the world for our pain and suffering. But with sati, mindful remembering, we understand that the only place to find peace and freedom from suffering is this very place, right here in our own body and mind.

In our journey towards mindfulness, we are encouraged to embrace the present moment fully, allowing ourselves to be aware of our surroundings and feelings. By resting in this awareness, we can release ourselves from the burden of past regrets and future anxieties. Often, when we experience pain, we mistakenly attribute our suffering to external circumstances rather than recognizing that true peace and freedom are found within ourselves.

Through the practice of sati, or mindful remembering, we learn to understand our experiences without judgment. This awareness invites us to shift our focus from blaming the world around us for our difficulties, to realizing that the answer lies in accepting and exploring our current states of being. By cultivating this mindful awareness, we open the door to inner tranquility and acceptance.
